The Iranian Youth Association in Luxembourg (AJIL) has announced a 5 km charity run at Luxembourg Municipal Park at 13:00 on Saturday 10 October 2026, with the support of Amnesty International Luxembourg and the Liaison Committee of Foreigners’ Associations (CLAE).
The event will take place on the occasion of World Day Against the Death Penalty and will be held simultaneously in nine countries under the message “No to executions in Iran”.
The organisers stated: “This international mobilisation will bring together participants in nine countries on the same day around a common message in favour of the abolition of the death penalty and against executions in Iran.”
In Luxembourg, the meeting point will be at the entrance to Luxembourg Municipal Park, at the corner of Avenue Marie-Thérèse and Boulevard Prince Henri.
