Luxair has announced that on Wednesday 3 June 2026 several sectors across Portugal, including aviation and ground handling services, may be affected due to a national strike.
According to Luxair, flights to and from Lisbon and Porto are currently expected to face the greatest disruption. Flights to and from Funchal, Madeira and Faro are expected to operate, although delays remain possible.
The airline said it is monitoring the situation closely and taking measures to minimise disruption and maintain services where possible.
Luxair added that any changes will be communicated directly to affected Luxair and Luxairtours customers using the contact details provided during booking.
Passengers travelling through affected Portuguese airports are advised to arrive at least three hours before departure due to expected longer waiting times.
