On Monday 5 October 2026, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) announced that the sauna area of the Badanstalt municipal baths in Luxembourg-Ville will remain closed until Thursday 8 October 2026 inclusive.

According to VdL, the extended closure, which affects the sauna cabins, Turkish bath and solarium, is due to the prolongation of the facility's annual maintenance works.

All other areas of the Badanstalt, located at 12 Rue des Bains, will reopen on Tuesday 6 October 2026.
