On Wednesday 12 March 2025, the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, visited Luxembourg for the first time.
During this working visit, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg received the Spanish prime minister (officially the President of the Government of Spain) in audience at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg-Ville. As reported by the Maison du Grand-Duc, the discussions centred around bilateral relations as well as European and international news.
Prime Minister Sánchez also met with his Luxembourg counterpart, Prime Minister Luc Frieden. The latter shared on social media that the two leaders "had a productive discussion on important European topics", such as security, the economy, energy, satellites and artificial intelligence (AI).
