On Wednesday 30 September 2026, Cactus announced that two months after opening in central Esch-sur-Alzette, it has expanded its services with the introduction of home delivery.
Located at 5-7 Rue de l'Alzette, opposite Esch-sur-Alzette City Hall, the shop opened at the end of July 2026. With a surface area of 345 m² and around 5,000 products, it is the largest Cactus shoppi store in the network and complements two existing Cactus locations in Esch-sur-Alzette.
“This new store allows us to offer a wider range while retaining what makes the shoppi concept: proximity, simplicity and speed,” said Cactus shoppi Network Director Jean-Paul Leesch.
Open seven days a week, including public holidays, the shop offers a variety of everyday and takeaway products. It also features an Eat Happy counter and a coffee area serving Cactus' Bruno coffee, as well as products from the Vum Lëtzebuerger Bauer range.
Cactus shoppi Esch-centre has now added a home-delivery service, allowing customers to order a selection of products through the Wolt platform for delivery to their homes.
“With Cactus shoppi Esch-centre, we are continuing to develop complementary formats capable of responding to changing consumer habits and the realities of each area. Our ambition is to be present where our customers live and work, with simple, accessible solutions adapted to their daily lives,” said Cactus Director of Operations Cédric Gonnet.
Cactus added that its shop is located in a building identified by the City of Esch-sur-Alzette as a “construction to be preserved”, with its architectural characteristics retained during the fit-out.
The shop employs around twenty people and also features works by Luxembourg artist SUMO and artist Dave the Chimp as part of its interior design.
Cactus shoppi in Esch-sur-Alzette centre is open from 06:30 to 21:00 from Monday to Friday, from 06:30 to 19:00 on Saturdays and from 08:00 to 19:00 on Sundays.
