In the current context of the COVID-19 health crisis, the Olympic Committee of Luxembourg (Comité Olympique et Sportif Luxembourgeois - COSL) held the 39th edition of the “COSL Spillfest” for the first time in virtual form, in partnership with Luxembourg's Ministry of Sports.
The 2021 edition introduced participants to a virtual journey through sports workshops, presented in the form of interactive videos. Accessible to the public since 21 May 2021, the website www.spillfest.lu confirmed the success of this initiative by counting more than 8,000 visitors during the last month.
Participants were able to choose between different thematic workshops, carried out by 23 sports federations, and thus discover new sports disciplines with practical ideas that could easily be implemented.
With the aim of encouraging families to move and regularly practise physical activity by presenting them with sources of inspiration, the virtual workshops will remain available until the 2022 edition of the COSL Spillfest.
