On Tuesday 6 May 2025, Viktor Yushchenko, third President of Ukraine (2005 – 2010) will give a lecture titled “Europe - Ukraine: Shaping a Unified Strategy in Times of Change” at the Bibliothèque Nationale du Luxembourg (BNL- National Library) in Luxembourg-Kirchberg (37D Avenue John F. Kennedy) starting at 12:00.

Viktor Yushchenko served as the third President of Ukraine from 2005 to 2010. Prior to his presidency, he built a strong reputation in finance as Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, where he oversaw significant monetary reforms. His leadership and commitment to fostering democratic values emphasise the power of knowledge and educational engagement, making his lecture particularly relevant for a library audience seeking deeper insights into Europe - Ukraine relations.

Organised by the BnL in collaboration with LUkraine Asbl, the lecture is expected to explore the evolving relationship between Europe and Ukraine through the lens of shared values, historical context and strategic collaboration in times of change, with attendees expected to gain a deeper understanding of how these can guide collaborative strategies for the future.

The lecture will be in English and is part of the programme surrounding the Charity Gala Dinner to be held that evening and at which former President Yushchenko will attend as a VIP.
