
LUkraine Asbl, a non-profit and community organisation, has announced a panel discussion titled "Medical Evacuation in Conflict Zones: Realities, Challenges and NGO Involvement", scheduled to take place on Wednesday 14 May 2025 from 18:00 to 20:00 at the Banque de Luxembourg Auditorium (14 Boulevard Royal, Luxembourg-Ville).
According to the organisers, the discussion aims to address practical challenges, international standards and the roles of NGOs and governmental entities in medical evacuation scenarios.
The panel is set to feature a range of confirmed speakers representing both political and operational expertise in medical and defence fields. Participants will include Yana Zinkevych, Ukrainian Member of Parliament and founder of the volunteer medical battalion "Hospitallers"; Yuriy Matviyenko, Officer of the Unmanned System Forces; and Tilly Metz, Luxembourg Member of the European Parliament and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Public Health.
Also speaking will be Claud Becker and David Nothar, both Chief Warrant Officers in the Luxembourg Armed Forces and Tactical Paramedics with EUMAM-UA, as well as Sally Loos, Senior Technical Officer and Section Chief at the Medical Office of the NATO Support and Procurement Agency.
