
The third edition of the Ukrainian Days (UA Days) cultural festival, organised by LUkraine asbl, is taking place throughout the month of June 2025.
According to the organisers, the festival’s mission is to enlarge and promote the unity and solidarity of both countries, offering an opportunity to explore and appreciate Ukrainian culture while fostering cultural exchange between Ukraine and Luxembourg.
This year’s theme, "Reviving the Silenced Arts," highlights works by Ukrainian artists whose voices were previously suppressed.
The officially finalised programme for UA Days 2025 includes the following:
- an opening concert on Friday 6 May 2025 at 19:30 at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, featuring piano quintets by Barvinsky and Lyatoshynsky, performed by Phoenix Quartet and Violina Petrychenko;
- a concert-conference on Ukrainian classical music by Violina Petrychenko on Saturday 7 May 2025 at 18:30 at Pianos Kelly in Niederanven, in partnership with Club de Musique des Institutions Européennes;
- a screening of the film Slovo House. Unfinished Novel on Wednesday 11 May 2025 at 19:00 at the Cinémathèque in Luxembourg-Ville, telling the story of persecuted Ukrainian artists during the Holodomor;
- a live performance by Ukrainian rap artist Alyona Alyona at the Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette on Friday 13 May 2025 at 20:00;
- a Kyiv–Luxembourg connection event on Saturday 14 May 2025 at 17:00 at Rotondes in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie, with arts, crafts, Ukrainian food and DJ music, in celebration of the naming of Boulevard de Kyiv;
- a candlelit carillon concert titled “Magic of the Bells” on Sunday 15 May 2025 at 19:30 at St Willibrord Basilica in Echternach, featuring music by Oleksandra Makarova;
- a jazz screening event “Old Movies and Jazz: Man with a Movie Camera” on Thursday 19 May 2025 at 19:00 at Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limperstberg.
