The Grand Château d’Ansembourg in Helperknapp (Mersch) will host the first edition of the “Festival du Vivant”, an event organisers describe as blending culture, nature, gastronomy and music, on Sunday 3 August 2025, from 11:00 to 18:00.

According to the organisers, the festival, organised in partnership with the Maison de l’Afrique in Luxembourg, will “revive the spirit of the traditional Fête du Château” and aims to raise awareness of contemporary issues including environmental conservation, cultural diversity and global openness.

President of LH Europe - Grand Château d’Ansembourg, Christophe Déage said: “With the Festival of Life, we aim to breathe new life into the summer programming of the Grand Château d’Ansembourg by firmly anchoring our actions in the values of living heritage and cultural inclusion.”

The programme for the festival includes two open-air concerts featuring cellist Olivia Gay and soul trio Malter. There will also be a fashion show by designer Honoré Araba, a performance from singer Yannick Dee, as well as a selection of artisan stands selling handcrafted items, guided tours of the castle’s baroque gardens and a number of children’s activities, reinforcing the festival’s family-friendly approach. A variety of food and refreshments from over ten countries will also be available onsite.

Admission to the festival is €3 per person and free for children under the age of ten.
