The 14th edition of the Luxembourg Peace Prize will take place on Friday 19 June 2026 at the European Convention Center Luxembourg (ECCL), starting at 10:00 in the historic plenary room.
The Schengen Peace Foundation was initiated in 2005 as a not-for-profit charity approved by Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg in 2007. It was founded by Hubert Rohde of Germany and US artist Matt Lamb with the purpose to elevate peace as a goal and connect peace builders.
The World Peace Forum initially took place each year in Schengen. The Luxembourg Peace Prize as part of the Schengen Peace Foundation was initiated in 2012 to award outstanding peacemakers. Since 2015, the Luxembourg Peace Prize has been a one day event, honouring laureates and awarding prizes in thirteen categories.
