The Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (LPEA) held a New Year Reception event at the Café des Capucins in Luxembourg city centre on Monday evening.

In the formal part of the evening, Paul Junck of the LPEA explained that the event reviews the past year and looks forward to the year ahead, as well as providing a networking platform for members.

In 2015, the LPEA undertook a rebranding and organised a series of events on public advocacy, both locally and internationally, as well as contributing to the LuxFin2020 framework strategy. In addition it took its roadshow to 6 destinations in Europe and the US. He also said the LPEA has become active in social media and announced the launch of their new website and a new promotional video this evening.

In 2026, the LPEA will focus on becoming more visible and will work on communication with the political parties in Luxembourg, about both Private Equity and Venture Capital, primarily from an education and dialogue perspective. It will also publish its Private Debt Funds brochure and an update of its PE brochure, with its AGM set for May. It will bring its roadshow to seven locations, again in Europe and the US, and will also attend various conferences in Europe, the US and Asia.

LPEA has 130 members, made up of 58 institutional investors and 72 service providers, with a number of technical committees supporting the activities of the organisation. In March/April, the LPEA will move to the House of Finance.
