
On Friday 26 September 2025, the Grand Ducal Police reported on cross-border train checks undertaken with their Belgian counterparts as part of the Benelux agreement.
According to the report, checks were conducted on Monday 22 September 2025 on the train route between Luxembourg and Namur (Belgium) and back. The focus was on drug and immigration legislation, as well as on general police presence on public transport within the Benelux area.
A total of eleven individuals were checked across four trains. One person was found in possession of drugs, which were confiscated.
During the operation, a report was drawn up for a breach of drug legislation.
