On Thursday 12 February 2026, Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden attended the informal brainstorming session of European Union leaders at Alden Biesen Castle, in the village of Rijkhoven, Belgium.

During the event, Prime Minister Frieden spoke with various of EU representatives, including Ulf Kristersson, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, Christian Stocker, Chancellor of the Republic of Austria; Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland and Gitanas Nausėda, President of the Republic of Lithuania.
