Artemysia Theatre Asbl has announced it will present two English-language shows following its weekly theatre workshops: Long Laugh the King (wormy wood) and The sky above Luxembourg, scheduled for 8 and 9 June at Abbaye de Neumünster (neimënster) in Luxembourg-Grund.

Long Laugh the King (wormy wood), directed by Raffaella D’Angelo takes place at the court of a king who is tired of lacklustre entertainment. The monarch of Serendipity Empire demands more from his nobles. They must not only entertain him but also provoke thought, inspire reflection and even provoke dreams. Failure to do so has the ultimate consequence - death! Long Laugh the King presents scenes showcasing human nature and royal absurdity with humour and insight, the organisers noted. This performance is scheduled for 8 and 9 June at 19:00.

The Sky above Luxembourg, directed by Raffaella D’Angelo as well, introduces viewers to a “celestial odyssey”, where angels and mortals intertwine in an exploration of the human experience. Celestial beings struggle to grasp the complexities of human existence, from overwhelming passions to profound disillusionments, from cravings for grandeur to the desperate quest for happiness and meaning. Suspended between immortality and the bounds of humanity, these celestial creatures wrestle with the choice to intervene in mortal affairs or to simply observe as an “outrageous fortune" unfolds. Performances of this play are set to take place on 8 June 2024 at 20:30 and on 9 June at 17:30.

Tickets for each performance cost €12. Reservations can be made via email: teatro.artemisia@gmail.com or via tel: 661-448-824.
