The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man was stabbed in Remerschen, located between Schengen and Remich, on Tuesday 1 August 2023.
The incident happened at around 17:45 when a man who was bleeding heavily was reported in the Wäistrooss in Remerschen. Police officers, who rushed to the scene, discovered a person with stab wounds to his thigh and abdomen. After first aid was given at the scene, the victim was transported to a hospital in an ambulance.
According to initial information, the victim is said to have been attacked by three people a few hundred metres from the site and injured by one of the perpetrators with a knife.
The man is understood not to have sustained life-threatening injuries in the attack.
The public prosecutor's office was informed and an investigation has been launched.
