The City of Luxembourg (VdL) has reported that on Thursday 10 July 2025, the College of the Mayor and Aldermen awarded prizes to the winners of the video competition linked to the city’s artistic initiative “My Urban Piano Luxembourg”, the participatory piano project which encouraged spontaneous mini-concert performances by amateur pianists in the capital between 18 May and 16 June 2025.
With My Urban Piano, the VdL installed seventeen pianos throughout its districts, parks, streets and tourist sites, encouraging citizens and visitors - both amateur and experienced musicians - to come together and engage in spontaneous mini-concerts. Each piano was decorated by partners from the community, arts and education sectors.
To support the project, the VdL launched a video competition to reward the most original clips of mini-concerts or performances around the pianos. The winners received shopping vouchers worth €400, €200, and €100, which the VdL awarded during a ceremony at Luxembourg City Hall.
