The Grand Ducal Police have reported two arrests made on the evening of Wednesday 16 July 2025.
On Wednesday evening, a police patrol on Rue Joseph Junck in the capital's train station district (Luxembourg-Gare) stopped a man suspected of drug dealing. During the check, the man reportedly made suspicious swallowing movements. An officer intervened, leading the suspect to spit out thirteen drug pellets. A subsequent scanner test returned positive results. By order of the public prosecutor's office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Thursday 17 July 2025.
Also on Wednesday evening, the police received reports of a man entering his ex-partner's apartment in Vichten, thereby violating an expulsion order issued in connection with domestic violence. The suspect was apprehended during a manhunt. He was arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office and brought before an investigating judge on Thursday morning.
