The Grand Ducal Police have reported that during the evening of Saturday 19 July 2025, two suspected drug dealers were arrested on Rue Pierre Grégoire in Pétange.
According to the report, a police patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle, with two occupants, alongside a motorcyclist in a car park on Rue Pierre Grégoire in Pétange. During a stop, officers detected the smell of cannabis and undertook a search of the vehicle, which revealed drugs, mobile phones and a quantity of cash.
Officers then carried out a body search on the three suspects and found additional drugs and cash, as well as firearm ammunition on the two people in the vehicle.
The public prosecutor ordered the drafting of a formal report regarding the motorcyclist and instructed officers to arrest the two occupants of the vehicle.
Both suspects were presented to the examining magistrate on the afternoon of Sunday 20 July 2025.
