The Grand Ducal Police have reported that on Monday 21 July 2025, officers arrested a man after the theft of a purse on Rue de Bonnevoie in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie.
According to the police, the victim of the theft was on her phone when she was approached from behind by a man who reached into her handbag. Despite attempts to resist, the man managed to flee with the purse.
After receiving the report of the theft, the police immediately launched a search for the suspect. Officers apprehended the alleged perpetrator shortly afterwards.
The suspect was taken into custody following an order from the public prosecutor.
