The Grand Ducal Police reported that on Monday 4 August 2025, officers arrested a woman following a robbery in Luxembourg City.

According to initial information, a shop on Boulevard Royal contacted the police after a woman entered the premises, brandished a knife and demanded money from the till. When the staff did not comply with her demand, she moved behind the counter and stole two packs of cigarettes. One member of staff attempted to stop her and sustained minor injuries during the incident. As she fled, the suspect also took a bottle of alcohol.

After receiving the report, the police immediately launched a search operation and located the suspect shortly afterwards. Officers confiscated the knife and, acting on instructions from the public prosecutor’s office, brought the woman before an investigating judge.
