The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they responded to several incidents over the weekend, including more than 60 noise complaints, drug offences and drink driving.

This past weekend, the police received reports of over 60 disturbances of the peace. In most cases, the situation was resolved on-site or no further noise was detected upon officers' arrival.

At around 20:00 on Saturday 9 August 2025, officers carried out a drug control in the Luxembourg-Gare (train station) district. One individual was stopped on suspicion of carrying drugs. A subsequent hospital scan revealed four to five foreign objects inside his body. By order of the public prosecutor's office, the suspect was arrested, and cash and a mobile phone were seized.

Shortly before 02:00 on Sunday 10 August 2025, the police were alerted to a person who had smashed several car windows on Rue de Longwy and Rue de Merl in Luxembourg City. Officers located the intoxicated suspect a short time later. Due to his condition, which posed a danger to himself and others, he was placed in transit detention following a medical examination. He was fingerprinted, and a report was filed.

Also on Sunday, at around 02:30, a man was reported to be harassing customers at a bar on Avenue Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in Dudelange. A police patrol found the man on-site and brought him to the station for further processing. However, he became uncooperative, insulted the officers and became physically violent. A report for rebellion was subsequently filed.

Shortly before 05:00 on Sunday, a patrol spotted a vehicle being driven without lights on Rue Sainte-Zithe in Luxembourg City. Upon inspection, the driver showed signs of alcohol consumption. A breathalyser test returned a positive result, and a provisional driving ban was issued.
