The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they arrested a suspected drug dealer in Schieren during the night of Wednesday 13 August 2025.
While inspecting a driver in Schieren, police officers spotted a small amount of heroin inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, officers found a large quantity of heroin and cocaine. On the orders of the Diekirch Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge.
In a separate incident, in the early hours of Wednesday, a person possibly under the influence of alcohol was reported in the garage entrance of a single-family home on Rue de Schifflange in Esch-sur-Alzette. A police patrol found the man on the scene. Upon examination, officers discovered that an arrest warrant had been issued for the suspect. The man was taken to the police station following a medical examination.
