The Grand Ducal Police have reported on a number of drink driving offences which occurred in Luxembourg across the evening of Wednesday 27 August through to the early hours of Thursday 28 August 2025.

Shortly before midnight on Wednesday evening, police received a report about a driver who had stopped his car on the A4. A patrol arrived at the scene and found the driver showing clear signs of alcohol consumption. An alcohol test proved positive and officers immediately confiscated his driving licence.

During the early hours of Thursday, witnesses reported a car swerving along the A7 as it travelled north. Police officers stopped the vehicle a short time later near Colmar-Berg. Officers conducted an alcohol test, which produced a positive result and upon investigation discovered the driver held no valid licence. Acting on instructions from the public prosecutor, officers filed a report and seized the vehicle.
