On Thursday 26 February 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported four arrests following incidents of assault and theft which occurred in Luxembourg City on Wednesday 25 February.

According to the initial information, on the afternoon of 25 February, a theft was reported on Rue du Rollingergrund in Luxembourg-Mühlenbach, during which the victim had his necklace forcibly taken by a suspect. A police patrol attended the scene and was able to locate the victim.

Shortly afterwards, the suspect was spotted nearby but fled upon seeing the officers. As part of a search operation, he was eventually apprehended. On the instructions of the public prosecutor’s office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Wednesday 26 February. The stolen property was returned to its rightful owner.

Later on Wednesday 25 February, at approximately 19.20, an altercation involving several individuals was reported on Route de Thionville in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie, during which a knife was used. Several police patrols immediately attended the scene and located the seriously injured victim. After receiving initial treatment at the scene, the victim was transported to hospital.

As part of a search operation, the three suspected perpetrators were apprehended. During a search of one of the suspects, several drugs were seized. The alleged weapon was found not far from the scene of the crime. On the instructions of the public prosecutor’s office, the suspects were arrested and brought before an investigating judge.
