The Grand Ducal Police have reported that on Friday 27 February 2026, officers conducted a traffic check on Rue du Brill in Foetz, which focused on the use of mobile phones while driving and the correct wearing of seat belts.
According to the police, the checks took place from 16:30 to 17:30 and sixteen drivers were issued fines for using their mobile phones while driving (€250 and four points).
Additionally, one driver received a fixed-penalty fine due to the expiry of the minor passenger not wearing a seat belt (145€ and two points), and in another case a driver was not carrying a valid driving licence (24€).
