On Thursday 26 March 2026, Luxembourg’s Direct Tax Administration (ACD) announced the opening of the 2025 tax return period and outlined measures to simplify declarations and strengthen support for taxpayers.

The initiative aims to make tax procedures more accessible and to improve assistance throughout the process.

The ACD confirmed that eligible taxpayers will receive a pre-filled simplified tax return by post on Monday 30 March 2026, based on data already available. This step builds on the first phase introduced in March 2025 and aims to offer a smoother experience while allowing taxpayers to receive their tax assessment within a predictable period of two weeks. Taxpayers can sign and return the pre-filled declaration until 31 December 2026.

The Administration also confirmed that Tuesday 7 April 2026 marks the official opening of all tax declarations. Individuals and companies can submit their returns until 31 December 2026.

From Monday 18 May to Saturday 23 May 2026, the ACD will organise the third edition of “123easy! Tax Week”. Following the previous edition, the Administration will visit five shopping centres across the country as part of its “ACD on Tour: we answer your questions” campaign. The campaign aims to meet taxpayers directly, answer their questions, and explain tax procedures. It will also promote the pre-filled simplified tax return and present the MyGuichet.lu digital assistant.

The ACD’s human resources team will join the roadshow to present career opportunities. Interested individuals can visit the stand to receive information.

The schedule includes stops at Plaza Shopping Center in Esch-Belval on 18 May, Belle Etoile Shopping Center in Bertrange on 19 May, Shopping-Center Massen in Weiswampach on 20 May, Copal Mertert-Wasserbillig on 21 May, and Cloche d'Or Shopping Center in Luxembourg City on 22 May, each from 11:00 to 18:00.

The Administration reminded all taxpayers that they can contact the Contact Center by phone at (+352) 247-53000 or via the contact form available on acd.lu for further assistance.
