On Monday 27 April 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that one person was taken into custody following a disturbance on a train, while another suspect was apprehended in connection with a shoplifting incident.

According to initial information, in the late afternoon a shoplifting incident was reported at a supermarket in Luxembourg City, where a man had stolen several items. A police patrol launched an immediate search and was able to apprehend the suspect shortly afterwards. The stolen goods were recovered and seized, and a report was filed.

Later that evening, at around 18:00, police were alerted to a man causing a disturbance on a train in Troisvierges. A patrol attended the scene and located the individual, who behaved uncooperatively towards officers. Due to his intoxicated state and as he posed a danger to himself and others, he was taken into custody following a medical examination.
