On Wednesday 29 April 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that a man was taken to hospital after being stabbed during an altercation on Tuesday 28 April in Differdange.
According to the police, at approximately 22:20 on the evening of Tuesday 28 April the police were notified of a fight involving several individuals on Rue Emile Mark in Differdange. A police patrol attended the scene immediately and found a man who had sustained a stab wound to the buttocks. After receiving initial treatment at the scene, he was taken to hospital.
According to initial information, the man had been approached by two individuals, whom he initially ignored due to language difficulties. The victim was then injured by one of the perpetrators, after which a scuffle broke out involving additional individuals. The victim and his companion subsequently fled the scene on foot. Later, the companion discovered that a theft had also occurred from his vehicle.
Despite an intensive search, the perpetrators could not be located.
Further investigations have been launched.
