On Monday 4 May 2026, Luxembourg’s Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Media and Connectivity, Elisabeth Margue, received the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan, Yoshimasa Hayashi, for a working meeting at the Ministry of State.
According to the ministry’s Media, Connectivity and Digital Policy Department, the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on several strategic priorities.
The working session concluded with the signing of a “memorandum of cooperation in the digital field”, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two countries, in particular in the areas of:
• safe, secure and trustworthy artificial intelligence;
• cybersecurity;
• space communications.
Minister Margue stated that “this cooperation illustrates Luxembourg’s commitment to strengthening strong partnerships in the digital field, based on trust, security and responsible innovation. It reflects our shared commitment to addressing the technological challenges of tomorrow, with Japan as a strategic partner.”
