The Grand Ducal Police has reported that an attempted ATM explosion, which took place in Rue de Steinfort in Eischen (Habscht) during Wednesday 20 May 2026 morning.
According to police, the incident was reported at around 03:30 but officers remained at the scene and the centre of Eischen is currently closed to traffic while the search operation continues.
Meanwhile, the police warned that the two suspects may be travelling on dark-coloured scooters or motorcycles.
The public has been asked not to pick up hitchhikers in the Steinfort area or take them towards the Greater Region.
The police added that suspicious persons, witnesses or anyone with information linked to the incident should contact the emergency number 113 immediately.
