The Grand Ducal Police have reported several traffic offences following a traffic control operation carried out on Wednesday 27 May 2026.
Between 09:00 and 10:00, police conducted a traffic control on the A1 motorway towards Trier, near the Cargo Center entrance.
In four cases, officers confiscated driving licences on the spot due to serious speeding offences.
According to the police, a further 27 drivers received fines of €145 and two penalty points for exceeding the maximum permitted speed of 90 km/h by more than 25 km/h.
In another case, a driver received a €49 fine for exceeding the motorway speed limit by up to 25 km/h.
In addition, four drivers were fined due to irregularities relating to vehicle documents, while another driver received a €250 fine and four penalty points for using a mobile phone while driving.
