The Grand Ducal Police has reported a fatal climbing accident which occurred at an indoor climbing facility in Soleuvre on Tuesday 2 June 2026.

According to the police, emergency services were alerted shortly after 20:00 after a climber fell approximately seven metres.

After receiving initial treatment at the scene, the 37-year-old man, who had sustained life-threatening injuries, was transported to hospital for further treatment.

The police forensic identification unit attended the scene to investigate the circumstances of the accident. The man later succumbed to his injuries shortly after midnight, and an autopsy has been requested on the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
