On Thursday 18 June 2026, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie attended the naming ceremony for a rose dedicated to the Grand Ducal Couple, which took place at Amélie Park in Luxembourg-Ville.

According to the City of Luxembourg (VdL), it organised the ceremony together  with the Patrimoine Roses Luxembourg to celebrate Luxembourg's horticultural expertise and rose growing tradition.

Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the VdL, Nicole Trossen, President of Patrimoine Roses Luxembourg, and rose breeder Ann Velle-Boudolff highlighted the importance of preserving the country's horticultural know how and promoting its landscape heritage. The Grand Ducal Couple also signed the rose naming certificate before guests attended a reception in their honour, noted the VdL.

The new bedding rose features very double flowers that open in pure white with delicate apricot tones at the centre. It flowers continuously from May to October and produces abundant blooms against dark, dense foliage. Its balanced growth makes it suitable for flower beds and formal gardens.

According to Patrimoine Roses Luxembourg, the rose symbolises the union of strength and grace and pays tribute to the Grand Ducal couple.
