The Grand Ducal Police have reported that during the night of Saturday 20 to Sunday 21 June 2026, they recorded around 90 incidents nationwide involving noise complaints, fights, disputes and public disturbances.

According to the police, approximately 50 of the reported incidents concerned noise complaints. In most cases, the situation had already calmed down by the time police patrols arrived or could be resolved on site.

One such incident was reported at around 02:15 on Sunday at a nightclub in Luxembourg-Gare district, where several men were allegedly involved in a fight. According to initial information, one of the individuals used a baton during the altercation.

Following a search operation, police located the suspect and seized a baton. Due to his intoxicated state and because he posed a danger to himself and others, he was taken into custody after undergoing a medical examination. Reports were subsequently drawn up in connection with the assault and illegal possession of a weapon.
