On Saturday 27 June 2026, Luxembourg's national weather service, MeteoLux, warned that very hot and potentially unstable air would continue to affect the country, with a red heat warning remaining in force for the entire country until 07:00 the next day.
According to MeteoLux, Saturday will remain sunny and hot, although the risk of local thundery showers will persist throughout the afternoon and evening. During thunderstorms, wind can gust of up to 65 km/h, accompanied by heavy rain and hail over a short period.
Afternoon temperatures are forecast to reach 36°C to 38°C in the north and 38°C to 40°C in the south.
For Sunday 28 June 2026, MeteoLux forecasts sunny conditions in the morning, with cloud cover increasing ahead of a cold front. From the afternoon through the night, moderate rain showers or locally triggered thunderstorms are possible.
A yellow heat warning will remain in force for the entire country from 07:00 on Sunday until 00:00 on Monday 29 June 2026.
