VdL Honours Racing Women After Unbeaten Title-Winning Season

On Thursday 16 July 2026, the College of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) welcomed the Racing FC Union Luxembourg women's team to City Hall to congratulate the players on their achievements during the 2025-2026 season.

The capital club completed an unbeaten Ligue 1 Dames campaign to secure the national championship title. On the European stage, Racing also reached the second qualifying round of the UEFA Women's Champions League for the second consecutive season.

During the reception, the city officials highlighted the significance of the team's achievements for promoting and raising the profile of women's sport in Luxembourg. They also congratulated the coaching staff and the club's volunteers for their contribution to the team's success.

Racing FC Union Luxembourg will begin their UEFA Women's Champions League campaign against Finnish champions HJK Helsinki on Monday 3 August 2026 at Stade Achille Hammerel. A victory would send the Luxembourg champions into the second qualifying round final, with a place in the third qualifying round at stake.
