On Thursday 6 August 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported three arrests for drug-related offences which occurred in Luxembourg City on Tuesday 4 August.

According to the police, at approximately 23:30 on Tuesday 4 August, police officers stopped and checked two men outside the police station in Luxembourg-Gare district after suspecting that they may have been involved in drug dealing.

One of the men fled the scene when he saw the officers and threw away a bag. He was stopped by the officers shortly afterwards. The bag was found to contain 97 g of cannabis resin (hashish). During a subsequent search, officers also seized a set of scales, a knife, a mobile phone and cash.

On the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge.

Also on the evening of Tuesday 4 August, at around 19:15, police received a report that two men were unlawfully present in an apartment on Rue d'Eich in Luxembourg-Eich and had allegedly threatened several people there. One of those present stated that he had previously been threatened with a knife.

The two suspects were located in the apartment by a police patrol. During the subsequent search, officers seized several suspected narcotics, packaging material, cash, a knife and other items.

On the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office, both suspects were arrested and taken to prison. They were brought before an investigating judge on Wednesday 5 August.
