The Grand Ducal Police have reported the arrest of an individual on suspicion of drug dealing on a public bus in Esch-sur-Alzette.
On Monday 10 August 2026, a bus driver alerted the police to suspected drug dealing taking place on the bus. According to initial information, a passenger had handed over drugs in exchange for cash.
Police officers located the suspect at the rear of the bus and carried out a check. They found, among other items, a large amount of cash and a set of scales in a bag. A subsequent search of the suspect also resulted in the seizure of several grams of drugs.
On the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the drugs, cash and other items were seized, while a subsequent search of the suspect's home yielded no results.
The police arrested the suspect, took them to the detention centre and filed a report.
