On Saturday 15 August 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that three suspected drug dealers had been arrested during large-scale checks in the Luxembourg-Gare area earlier this month.
According to the police, the criminal investigation department, together with officers from the Bonnevoie, Gare/Hollerich and Gasperich police stations, carried out targeted drug trafficking checks in the Rue de Hollerich area on Monday 3, Wednesday 5 and Friday 7 August 2026.
During each of the three operations, officers identified a suspected drug dealer. Police reportedly observed two of the suspects selling drugs.
The third suspect was identified as a so-called "body packer". A scanner examination revealed packages of drugs inside the suspect's body.
On the orders of the public prosecutor's office, police arrested all three suspects and brought them before an investigating judge.
