On Saturday 29 August 2026, Luxembourg's Grand Ducal Police issued an appeal for witnesses following an incident involving a nineteen-year-old woman in Bettembourg.

On Friday 28 August 2026, between 15:05 and 15:10, the woman was approached by an unknown man near the intersection of Rue du Coin and Rue Dicks. According to police, the man grabbed and hugged her. As she resisted, she fell to the ground and the man left in the direction of Rue Michel Lentz.

Shortly afterwards, when the woman arrived at her home, she noticed that the man had followed her. Police reported that he approached her again before fleeing on foot when she resisted. The woman was not injured.

Police described the suspect as a man aged around 20, approximately 1.70 metres tall and of slim build, with black skin and short, shaved hair. He was reportedly wearing black pool slides with socks, white Bermuda shorts with grey stains and a navy blue Nike training vest.
