On Wednesday 16 September 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that a large amount of copper cabling had been stolen from a construction site in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
According to the police, on Tuesday 15 September they were informed that an unknown perpetrator had forcibly gained access to a storage room on a construction site on Rue Erasme in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
According to the initial information, two cable drums were stolen and it was also established that cables that had already been laid had been cut over a length of several hundred metres and were also stolen.
The police said that a corresponding report was drawn up and further investigations are ongoing.
The theft follows a number of similar incidents in recent weeks.
