On Sunday 17 August 2025, the 2025 edition of the Miss Crémant de Luxembourg contest took place in Remich, as part of the 46th Fête du Crémant weekend.

The event, which attracted more than 300 attendees, took place along the banks of the Moselle at Remich Gréin (Route du Vin, Remich) and was organised by the supporters of Union Remich-Bous football club.

The annual competition selects an ambassador to represent and promote Luxembourg’s Crémant culture throughout the coming year. According to the organisers, Miss Crémant de Luxembourg aims to “celebrate beauty and elegance” while offering contestants an opportunity to showcase their “individuality, passions and skills”.

The contest, which is open to participants aged eighteen and over who have not previously taken part in Miss Crémant de Luxembourg, consisted of two rounds. In the first, each participant introduced herself to the audience in a brief exchange with the presenters, covering topics such as profession and hobbies. In the second round, contestants appeared before the jury in evening wear.

The winner of the competition, selected by the jury and audience and recipient of €1,000 in prize money was Miss Chiara Thill.

Speaking to Chronicle.lu, Catherine Funk of the event’s organisation team discussed how the contest is supported, evolved and has grown in popularity.

Miss Funk said: “This is the 46th edition and this year we have twelve girls who participate. The event is organised by the local football club and it is mainly local people who come to support us. The people helping, they do this voluntarily.”

She added: “We also changed the event a little bit. So, two years ago we started having a pre-event that is one week or ten days before the event. We organised a small event with only the girls who wish to participate and there the girls all meet each other. We also explain to them how the evening is structured so that at least they know what is going to happen. This is quite nice and we are happy that we are lucky with the weather and that we have also so many people here.”
