Special Awards

Young Talent Challenge

• Lea Tonus (Archery): The eighteen-year-old compound archer is among the best global talents in her age category. Earlier this year, she won the Indoor World Series, including victories at the GT Open in Luxembourg and Nîmes (France).

• Enzo Duarte (Football): The sixteen-year-old midfielder is a starter with Borussia Dortmund U19 and made his debut for the senior national team on 10 June in a friendly match against Ireland.

Honour Award

• Petz Lahure (Sportspress.lu): For 27 years, Petz Lahure led the Luxembourgish sports press association, guiding it into a new era and influencing sports journalism well beyond national borders. He covered fifteen Olympic Games and approximately 40 Tours de France. In July, the honorary president of Sportspress.lu passed away after a short and serious illness.

Fair Play Award

• Luka Mladenovic (Table Tennis): In the Bundesliga, Mladenovic was about to win against Tiago Apolonia in the decisive set. Although the match point was initially awarded to him, he corrected the decision when he saw his opponent’s ball had touched the edge of the table. As a result, he lost both the set and the match — a remarkable gesture of fair play, particularly in the fight to keep his club, Grenzau, in the league.

Ultrasport Award

• Jemp Moura (Trail Running): At the Terra de Gigantes in Portugal in January, Moura covered 309 km with 10,000 m of elevation gain in 64:58:24 hours, finishing twelfth.

Sport and Disability Award

• Liz Conzemius (Blind/Visually Impaired Tennis): Following her world title last year, she won the Women’s Singles title at the European Championships in October without losing a single game and also won gold in Mixed Doubles alongside Nicolas Berodt.
