On Monday 5 October 2026, IMS Luxembourg held the third edition of the Sustainability Awards, recognising the best sustainable development practices implemented by organisations in Luxembourg.

Held in PwC Luxembourg’s premises in Luxembourg-Gasperich, the ceremony took place in French. It gathered around 200 people. During the evening organisers presented four main awards, alongside a "Coup de cœur" (jury's favourite) award and a Special Mention.

The 2026 edition attracted 36 applications. A pre-jury selected twelve initiatives before a jury assessed them based on criteria including their impact, innovation, potential for replication, level of implementation, project management and integration into a long-term approach.

In the "People" category, MEC Asbl received the award for its "Super Senior" initiative, while Enovos won the "Planet" category with "Powering Land Twice: How Enovos Combines Solar Energy, Farming and Biodiversity".

The "Prosperity" award went to Callisto for its cross-sector joint venture aimed at developing low-carbon eco-districts but ArcelorMittal received the "Sustainability Team" award for its circular economy initiative focusing on air quality in Differdange.

The jury also presented its "Coup de cœur" award to Satgana, while Polish Żabka Group received a Special Mention for its "Dobry Staż" (good internship) initiative.

The winners received trophies created by Luxembourg artist Charlotte Payet from collected plastic waste, including PET bottles, using traditional craft techniques.

Speaking to Chronicle.lu at the event, IMS Luxembourg President Christian Scharff said the awards aimed to recognise practices with a local impact that could be replicated and serve as inspiration for other companies.

He highlighted: "Quite often people think, well, if we do something sustainable, it's going to cost money. No, actually, it can save money. It can increase the customer base. It can increase your attractiveness for employees."

"Sustainability is not an economic problem for the company, it's an economic advantage," President Scharff added.
