
On Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September 2025, basketball matches were played across Luxembourg as part of Game Day 2 of the regular season of the Women’s and Men’s Enovos League.
Women’s League: T71 Dudelange Go Two for Two, Basket Esch Start with Victory
In the women’s league, T71 Dudelange recorded their second consecutive victory, winning 68-63 away against AB Contern. The visitors led 36-29 at half-time, with forward Lauren Anne Van Kleunen scoring thirteen points in the opening two quarters. Contern closed the gap to a single point (50-51) in the third quarter, but Dudelange held firm in the final period to secure the win and move top of the table. Van Kleunen finished as top scorer with 21 points.
Basket Esch played their first match of the new season, having sat out Game Day 1 due to the participation of seven teams this year. At home, coach Karim Elbaoune’s team defeated Musel Pikes 83-61. Jovana Jaksic stood out with 23 points, converting 76% of her shots, including two from two three-pointers, making her the game’s top scorer.

Men’s League: Sparta Stun Champions Etzella, Musel Pikes Stay Unbeaten
In the men’s league, current champions Etzella Ettelbruck suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 83-78 away to Sparta Bertrange. The hosts led 46-27 at half-time, helped by guard Jarvis Terrill Williams (a former Amicale Steinsel player) scoring eighteen points. Etzella fought back in the fourth quarter to briefly lead 74-73 with under three minutes remaining, but Sparta regained control to close out the win. Williams finished with a double-double of 34 points and eleven rebounds, making him the game’s top performer.
Like Bertrange, Musel Pikes remain unbeaten. Following their opening day win over Résidence Walferdange, they defeated Mambra Mamer 95-85 on the road.
In a clash of league newcomers, Kordall Steelers beat Racing Luxembourg 101-89, leaving both sides with one win each after two rounds.
Basket Esch also claimed their first victory of the season, the Luxembourg Cup holders defeating last season’s championship finalists T71 Dudelange 87-66 at home.
