The British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg (BCC) and the British-Luxembourg Society (BLS) have announced that theywill host the event “Safe and Secure Luxembourg: Attracting and Retaining International Talent” at Cercle Cité (Place d'Armes) in Luxembourg-Ville on Wednesday 18 March 2026.
Running from 17:45 to 20:45, this high-level exclusive event will outline ongoing and upcoming safety initiatives, legislative reforms and the government’s strategy to safeguard Luxembourg’s appeal to international professionals and their families, enhance law enforcement capabilities and maintain Luxembourg’s reputation as a secure place to live and work.
According to the organisers, Luxembourg has long been recognised as one of Europe’s safest and most attractive destinations for international talent, yet recent public debate around perceived declines in safety has raised concerns among residents, employers and newcomers.
Organised in partnership with the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL), the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and other international business chambers of commerce in Luxembourg, this invitation-only event is open exclusively to Sustaining Members due to limited capacity.
The event, held in English, will feature a keynote address by Léon Gloden, Luxembourg’s Minister for Home Affairs, followed by a fireside chat on Talent4Luxembourg initiatives and a panel discussion with representatives from the VdL, including Mayor Lydie Polfer, and from the Christian Social People’s Party (CSV), the Democratic Party (DP) and the Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP). The evening will conclude with a Q&A session and networking cocktail. Other speakers and moderators will include: Laurent Mosar from CSV (and VdL); Alexandre De Toffol from DP; Liz Braz from LSAP; Muriel Morbé, Talent & Skills Director at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce; Andrew Notter, BCC Chairman; and Cordula Schnuer, Editor-in-Chief of the Luxembourg Times.
The organisers noted that the event targets local and international residents, particularly those living or working in Luxembourg Ville, as well as employers and HR professionals focused on attracting and retaining international talent.
