On Thursday 23 July 2026, Luxembourg-based ATOZ Services announced a partnership with private equity firm Bregal Sagemount, which will become the company's majority shareholder, subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
According to ATOZ Services, the investment will support its international expansion, acquisition strategy and continued development as an international fund services platform. Existing shareholders ATOZ Group and ICG will retain minority stakes in the company.
Founded in 2018 as part of ATOZ Group, ATOZ Services provides fund-linked special purpose vehicle (SPV) services, fund administration, and fund governance, risk and compliance (GRC) services. The company currently serves more than 800 private equity, private credit and real estate clients.
According to the company, the investment will support further organic growth, including additional investment in artificial intelligence (AI), expansion into new jurisdictions and the broadening of its service offering. In recent years, ATOZ Services has expanded its regulated fund administration capabilities, established a client-facing presence in the United Kingdom (UK) and strengthened its Fund GRC offering.
Chafai Baihat, Managing Partner of ATOZ Services, described the investment as "an important milestone" for the company. He added: “We are excited to partner with the Sagemount team as we continue investing in our people and AI, expanding into new markets and further strengthening the services we provide.”
Gene Yoon, Managing Partner at Bregal Sagemount, said: “We look forward to partnering with Chafai and the team to support ATOZ Services’ expansion across new markets and service lines, and to build on the strong platform they have created.”
Fatah Boudjelida and Keith O'Donnell, Managing Partners of ATOZ Group added: “ATOZ Group is truly honored to welcome Sagemount as majority investors into ATOZ Services business to support the next phase of the growth journey, and we are keen to maintain and develop the ATOZ Services relationship with the ATOZ Group.”
Mark Piasecki, Managing Director at ICG, concluded: “It has been a privilege to support ATOZ Services through a highly successful period of growth, service line expansion and internationalisation. There is significant future headroom and ICG is therefore delighted to be continuing to support Chafai and the team on its growth journey with Sagemount.”
