UNICEF Luxembourg raised over €10,500 during the first edition of its UNICEF City Run, held on Saturday 5 July 2025 in the Pétrusse Valley in Luxembourg City.
According to UNICEF Luxembourg, the event brought together more than 400 participants, including runners, walkers, families, friends and colleagues, in support of children's rights worldwide.

Participants were free to run or walk at their own pace on a 1.2 km course, "individually or in groups, completing one or more loops without any timekeeping pressure", noted UNICEF Luxembourg.

The event raised over €10,500 to support UNICEF programmes in health, education, child protection and emergency aid, with the funds going directly towards improving the lives of children affected by crises or injustice.

“This event shows the strength of community and solidarity,” said Sandra Visscher, Director of UNICEF Luxembourg. “We warmly thank all participants, partners, and our team who made this day possible, and we look forward to welcoming you again next year.”
