Luxembourg's Fondation Cancer has announced that registration for Relais pour la Vie 2027 will open on Tuesday 27 October at 07:00, ahead of the charity event scheduled for Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 March 2027.
The annual event will bring together thousands of participants at the National Sports and Culture Centre d'Coque in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, as well as teams participating remotely from across Luxembourg and beyond.
"Behind every team is the same determination: to stand alongside people affected by cancer. For 24 hours, each team reminds patients and their loved ones that they can count on an immense network of solidarity," said Margot Heirendt, Director of Fondation Cancer.
Places for teams participating in person at d'Coque are limited and in high demand, therefore the foundation recommends registering as soon as registration opens. Remote teams can register until the event weekend.
Participants must register in teams through the official website, with a registration fee of €15 per person. During the 24-hour event, team members will take turns walking or running to demonstrate solidarity with people affected by cancer and their families.
Teams are also encouraged to collect donations through the Trophées de l'Espoir fundraising initiative. The funds support Fondation Cancer's three main activities: assisting people affected by cancer and improving their quality of life; raising public awareness through prevention campaigns; and financing cancer research projects.

Founded in Luxembourg in 1994, Fondation Cancer has organised Relais pour la Vie annually as part of its efforts to support patients and their families, promote cancer prevention and fund research.
